(1) The Constituent Assembly existing at the time of commencement of this Constitution shall automatically transform into the Legislature-Parliament after the commencement of this Constitution and the tenure of such Legislature-Parliament shall continue until January 7, 2074. However, if the election of the House of Representatives under this Constitution is held before the completion of such term, the Legislature-Parliament shall continue until the day before filing the nomination papers of the candidates for such election.
(2) Bills pending in the Legislature-Parliament during the promulgation of this Constitution shall automatically be transferred to the Legislature-Parliament as per clause (1).
(3) The work to be performed by the Federal Parliament in accordance with this Constitution shall be done by the Legislature-Parliament as per clause (1) until the election of the House of Representatives is held in accordance with this Constitution.
(4) After the commencement of this Constitution, until the establishment of the Provincial Assembly, the power of the Provincial Assembly to enact laws on matters as per Schedule-6 shall remain with the Legislature-Parliament as per clause (1). The law made in such a manner shall become inoperative in the case of such province after one year from the date of formation of the Provincial Assembly in accordance with this Constitution.
(5) The Legislature-Parliament Secretariat, its Secretary-General, Secretaries and employees at the time of commencement of this Constitution shall remain in the Federal Parliament Secretariat under this Constitution subject to the terms of service at the time of their appointment.
(6) If the Legislature-Parliament is not in session at the time this Constitution comes into force, the President shall call a session of the Legislature-Parliament within seven days from the date of commencement of this Constitution. After that, the President will call a session of the Legislature-Parliament from time to time.
